About Meg

In my earliest memories, I am playing in and eating out of the garden on the southern Oregon land where my family lived “off the grid.” Fast forward 30 years and a simple daily pleasure is sending my kids out to the garden for a snack. Healthy living and healthy eating have always been a huge part of my life.

At a young age, physical movement became something I simply could not live without. Beginning with ballet, I have enjoyed everything from yoga to Olympic weightlifting.

I have lived a happy and healthy life; and I have also experienced deep loss and grief. I believe we can become stronger as we move through the hardest of times.

As I turned to health coaching, I received training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied more than a hundred dietary theories as well as a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods.

My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, chair of nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and authorities.
